Learn to Sail

  • Accredited CYA instructors
  • Sailing lessons available for beginners (White Sail, I, II & III)
  • Sailing lessons available for intermediates (Bronze, level IV)
  • Hobie Cat sailing lessons for members with White Sail III or equivalent
  • Free racing clinics

Recreational Sailing

  • Recreational sailing is available on weekdays and weekends
  • On Thursday evenings we have a social sail, where beginners are matched up with more experienced sailors followed by our
  • Famous Thursday Night Dinner.

Racing

  • Weekly Friday Night races in one of North America's largest fleets.
  • Race against other clubs with prizes for Skipper and Crew in the top 5 boats
  • Beginners are encouraged to sign up as crew and participate in the competition, in order to gain experience
  • Weekend Regattas and Sunday afternoon Harbourmaster series on most weekends throughout the summer

Social Activities

  • Parties held frequently throughout the sailing season, on warm summer evenings on our deck under the stars
  • Champagne Breakfast, Pig Roast, and Year-End Party are only some of our famous Westwood traditions
  • Thursday Night social dinners, hosted by volunteers
  • Frequent casual Barbecues after sailing all afternoon

Full Membership (All prices include HST)

Full membership includes use of Club boats, facilities, clinics, and social events.

  • 2012 Early Bird Membership Fee: $459
  • 2012 Basic White Sail Lesson Fee: $75 per course
  • The May White Sail course is included in the Early Bird Membership at no extra charge.

Student Membership

Are you a full time College or University student? We understand that your dollar is stretched. Show us your student ID and enjoy a reduced membership fee of $429.00.

Large Group or Corporate Group Memberships

Social Membership

Social membership includes 4 sails per season, use of Clubhouse facilities, and social events. Lessons, Clinics, and Racing are not available. 2012 Social Membership Fee: $125

We have a 24-hour Hot Line for information on upcoming club events. Membership includes receipt of weekly emails and periodic mailings which keep you informed about what's happening at the club.
